The modules WM868 – MM/MS, WM868-SJ-R4, WM868-SJ-R2, WM868-SJ-U and WM868-SJ-RK (further “collection units”) were designed to collect data from battery powered modules (WM868-SI/SA, WM868-TI/TE, SEA, MDA, MDB), which work in an active communication mode. It means that the modules save battery as they are not in permanent active reception, but send data actively in preset intervals, or spontaneously based on alarm event.
Collection unit capture and confirm messages from battery powered modules and keeps them in an internal memory. Then, in a passive mode (on request) transmits messages to the master M-BUS collection unit with physical RS-485or RS-232 interface.
Collection unit provides conversion of the communication mode from active into passive (collection). Through collection unit you can connect into virtual collector other devices with pulse of analogue input in a way, where they appear as a device with data output of M-BUS type.
The modules WM868-SJ-R4, R2, MM, MS are collection units with collection interface according to the type, and were designed for wireless connection of the WM868-SI/SA and WM868-TI/TE modules to physical BUS collection units.
The module WM868-SJ-U is a collection unit with collection RS-485 interface, which is designed for wireless connection of WM868-SI/SA and WM868-TI/TE modules to the serial line RS-232, which is simulated on USB port. The module WM868-SJ-RK is a collection unit without physical link interface, designed to wireless connection of WM868-SI/SA, WM868-TI/TE, SEA, MDA and MDB modules to the virtual radio collection unit M-BUS/RS-485.
